I am proud to be here feeling we may all contribute to create this Global Village where we all want to belong... now it's not that we are there yet, and I am not the type of politically correct people who thinks has to walk carefully so no eggs are broken... on the contrary...
But first, I wish to say thank you for this initiative and future community where we can all get help for our endeavors and reciprocally help others...
Now, I am not indiferent to other's public evil gigglings. Thus, after listening the complete quote, not just the remarks cited out of context, of Pastor Wright quoting former Ambassador Edward Peck saying the following on Fox
News, I will not remain silent:
"We took this country
by terror away from the Sioux, the Apache, Arikara, the Comanche, the Arapaho,
the Navajo. Terrorism.
"We took Africans away
from their country to build our way of ease and kept them enslaved and living
in fear. Terrorism.
"We bombed
"We bombed the black
civilian community of
"We bombed Qaddafi's
home, and killed his child. Blessed are they who bash your children's head
against the rock.
"We bombed
"We bombed
"Kids playing in the playground. Mothers picking up children after school.
Civilians, not soldiers, people just trying to make it day by day.
"We have supported
state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we
are indignant because the stuff that we have done overseas is now brought right
back into our own front yards.
"Violence begets violence. Hatred begets hatred. And terrorism begets terrorism..."
It only seems clear to me that Mr. Peck and Pastor Wright, like most people in America and elsewhere too, are very much unconscious of the Biblical condemnation "whatever injury you did to your brothers or sisters will not go unpunished... you shall pay for it until the third and fourth generation".
It can not be but systemic and inescapable entanglements for we are part of the same soul and not the isolated individuals we might beleive we are. Thus the cost of violating the systemic laws that would allow love to unfold in our Global Village will once more be payed not only by innocent people but also will be atoned, and guilt and also the denial of our own pain will have to be compensated for, by our own children to the third and fourth generation.
Are we concious that a country where most people have never batted an eye for its Governor's evil doings shall get what it deserves: more than another war to loose under the command of its chosen Governor in chief, most probably by the last name McCain?
Or, will we honor the equal right to belong to this Global Village of all its members and have the courage to go into the pain and work through our guilt to compensate now, ourselves, for our past evil doings and undeserved advantages as a community?
